"Decent Prices, Nothing Amazing"
The prices were okay overall, but I wouldn’t say they were a great deal (at least not compared to what I was expecting). Not bad, just not exactly bargain-level either

"Return was okay, just kinda slow"
Had to return something from mpex.com and it wasn’t too much of a hassle. The steps were clear enough, so I wasn’t confused or anything, but I did end up waiting a bit for replies. The refund also took longer than I thought it would. Not a bad experience at all, just kinda average tbh. Would’ve been better if they sent updates faster

"Packed Better Than People Might Expect"
I ordered from mpex.com the package showed up quickly. The box was sturdy and everything inside was wrapped up well. Yeah, there was a small dent on one corner of the outer box, but that’s not exactly a big deal in shipping, and the actual item was completely fine. No damage, nothing loose, no issues at all. Overall, I’m happy with how they packed it. It wasn’t flawless, but it did the job, and I’d order from them again.

"Repair support left me hanging"
I don’t usually write reviews like this, but the repair support was really frustrating. I reached out expecting, you know, at least some kind of update or reply, and then days turned into weeks with basically nothing. I kept checking my messages thinking maybe I missed something, but no, just silence. It’s not even that I needed everything fixed instantly, I just wanted someone to acknowledge the issue and let me know what was going on. Being ignored for weeks when you’re waiting on a repair is just a really bad experience

i ordered from mpex and had a question about my order, so i reached out to customer service. they did get back to me eventually, but it took longer than i expected, so i was kind of just waiting around for a while. once they replied, their answer was helpful and they got the issue sorted out. overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, just not the quickest. faster responses would definitely make it better

"I sent in some old camera…"
I sent in some old camera gear to mpex for a trade-in quote, i was fully expecting the usual nonsense where they find every tiny excuse to slash the value. You know how it goes. But nope, the appraisal actually felt really fair, and they were upfront about the condition instead of making it weird. Payment came through without any random delays or “processing” drama, which was a relief. Painless overall, and I’d definitely use them again.

I reached out to mpex.com because I needed help picking the right gear, the recommendation they gave me felt like they barely paid attention to what I actually said. I explained my setup, but the item they pushed ended up not fitting my needs at all, so it was basically a waste of time.
Now I’m stuck dealing with the return process, and of course there are all these little policy loopholes that make it more annoying than it should be. It’s frustrating when a company gives bad advice and then the customer has to jump through hoops to fix it. I wouldn’t rely on their product recommendations again...

"Good deal and no real hassle"
I ended up ordering from Midwest Photo Exchange because the price was better than the other places I was looking at. Shipping was normal, and everything showed up fine and all that. Not a whole lot more to say about it, just glad I found this and didn’t end up paying more somewhere else.

I really wanted to give this place a chance, but their reputation already seemed a bit questionable, and then even my basic request was ignored. That was frustrating and didn’t give me much confidence. I just don’t feel safe buying from here.

"Used Lens Was Just as Described"
I bought a used lens from Midwest Photo Exchange and it showed up pretty much exactly how they listed it. There were a couple of tiny marks, which they had already mentioned, but the glass was clean and clear. with used gear, that little bit of accuracy matters a lot. No surprises at all, and I really appreciated that...

"Customer Support, in Theory"
I had an issue with my order, so I contacted mpex.com thinking it would be a quick fix. Silly me, obviously expecting customer support to actually support customers was a bit ambitious. The replies I got were short and didn’t really answer what I was asking. After a few back-and-forth messages, it felt like they were more interested in closing the ticket than solving the problem. I waited, explained everything again, and still got nowhere. Frustrating experience, and I won’t be ordering from them again

"Decent order, but shipping felt pricey"
My order showed up fine and everything was in good shape, so no real complaints there. The only thing that threw me off was the shipping cost, which felt a little high for what I actually bought. I could be wrong, but it almost seemed like the shipping bumped up the total more than it needed to. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, but I’d probably be more likely to order again if the shipping was cheaper next time

"Wish I Hadn't Had to Chase My Refund"
It's not the worst shop I've dealt with, but I regret ordering because the refund took way longer than I expected. I had to follow up to get it moving, which was really frustrating. They did eventually pay it back, but the whole process was more hassle than it should've been.

"My Order Was a Mess"
My order showed up with the wrong items, which was annoying. Then I had to waste extra time trying to get it sorted out because apparently the “order-checking champions” skipped the one job they were supposed to do. It really shouldn’t be that hard to make sure the right stuff is in the box before shipping it out
